If you are reading this, you have already taken a courageous first step toward growth, change and improving the quality of your life. I see your decision to start therapy as a commitment to yourself to live more consciously, to get to know what matters to you instead of getting stuck on what's expected of you.
I find by exploring both the past and the present, clients are able to recognize life patterns and dynamics which affect their relationships, career, and overall emotional and physical well-being. I believe each person is unique and do not utilize a "one-size-fits-all" approach. Rather, I work with clients in a collaborative manner, and together we establish the direction and pace of our work. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment that encourages honesty, authenticy, connection and direction.
Most people come to therapy because of some degree of suffering. Many of the people I work with describe feeling stuck or confused about their current path. They feel they have reached the end of their rope and life seems to be working against them. This crisis can take many forms. It can be a traumatic event in one's life, such as a difficult break up, illness or a persistent feeling of dread and anxiety. Some people experience no crisis, but rather feel constantly blue, out of sorts or that life is passing them by. All these symptoms are to be taken seriously and are very good reasons to start psychotherapy and work through the issues. Everyone has a unique life story, which needs to be understood. Good psychotherapy is soul work and will nurture you in profound ways.
